Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine (not Kyyiv nor Kiev)

Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine

When accessing the "Edit Profile" section and navigating to the "LOCATION" tab, if you select Ukraine as the country, you currently have two options to set your city as Kyiv:

1. You can set the "State/Province" field to "Kyyiv"
   
2. Alternatively, you can choose "Kyyivs'ka Oblast'" as your "State/Province" and set your city to "Kiev"

While both of these options are available, it's important to note that the spelling of the capital of Ukraine is incorrect.

The official name of the capital of Ukraine is "Kyiv", and its region is "Kyiv Oblast". While I understand that the romanized version "Kyyivsʹka oblastʹ" may be used for the region, it should not be applied to the city name itself.

I am aware that the list of locations, including the hierarchy of countries and smaller governing areas, comes from a third-party information provider, and some data comes from a FIPS. However, I kindly request that you work with your data provider to update the city name to "Kyiv" to ensure accuracy and consistency.

There are many things incorrect with the location list beyond just the city of Kyiv. None of those have been corrected, either.

It's just a piece of vanity for the profile. If you're determined to display your location, put it in the real name field instead so you can display it accurately.

Kiev is the English name.
Kyiv (or whatever) is the transliteration of the Kyrillic of its original name.

Just like it's Prague instead of Praha, Munich instead of München, Naples instead of Napoli or Moscow instead of Moskva.
