Adding something similar to extensions from browser steam to the steam client

Browser extensions like steamDB and Steam Inventory Helper are super useful.
It would be great if we could have something similar in the steam client.

Why?
Why not ask to implemented the desired functionality directly?

Activation extensions will sooner or later lead to security issues and Valve won't keep up with the latest security updates for CEF.
And by doing so you will also not only enable sanctioned extension but ultimately also the "install this to get free games - just follow these easy steps to install"-type of extensions.
