ability to view trading card artwork from inventory screen
Sometimes I like to look at my trading cards all in one place. The only way I know to do this is the Steam inventory.

However, Steam trading cards are actually all cropped thumbnails of much larger wallpaper-size artwork associated with each card, and the only way to see this artwork seems to be the Steam library and badge crafting screens for each individual game. There seems to be no centralized way to browse it. I would find it very convenient to be able to see this artwork from the Steam inventory.

Because of this lack of functionality, I actually did not even know about the larger artwork until very recently. And I have used Steam for 13 years with over 500 purchases! How many other people are missing this nice secret of the humble trading card? Please consider it. Thank you for reading.

Protip: While it is an external website, what you can currently do is to find the game entry on steamcardexchange.net and get the backgrounds even if you lack the cards.

Oh I know. There's also a Wikia about it - more ads and garbage, but easier to navigate. But it's even more arcane to expect that users know about these third-party websites than to just have the feature intuitive and convenient in the Steam site and interface.

Have you viewed your badge page and looked at the cards?

Yes, but you still have to open each individual badge page to actually get to the artwork.

That would require a scraping script which I am not familiar with. I could try making my own in the future, but I only used Linux utilities to scrape data, so it'd require jumping through some hoops to be used.

The suggestion, while valid, isn't something I expect that Valve will implement.

I know it isn't about the original topic, but check out Breeze Wiki[breezewiki.com], it's a Wikia mirror that removes all the unnecessary stuff from the page, including ads. Also, LibRedirect[libredirect.github.io] can be used to automatically redirect to that and many other mirroring services.
