Less anime porn on Steam
Summer Sale`s cool games are flooded with cheap anime pornography. Clicking Ignore on each is pointless because there is another 100 in that place! :)
It`s not only insane (I won`t disscuss the obvious) but it`s hard to browse and find a good game in that ocean of anime bs. It`s like the same template...
Once Steam was about games.
In last years it all got little crazy. Let`s look for sanity in all this.

If you don't like seeing games with porn then don't opt into seeing games with porn...
Why? People want to buy them. Turn adult content filter back on and you are good to go.
If you're running into an ocean of anime porn, you need to adjust your settings and change the way you browse the store. I have Adult Only disabled (as it is per default) and I never run into them, so not sure what you're doing.

It's fine that such games are on the store, there is a market for them. And Steam is a global store for various target audiences. It's ok that such a store has things a person doesn't like.
I don't have adult content disabled, and I don't see floods of cheap anime pornography. In fact, I see none. The store's front page has a heavy focus on popular, bag-name games, with some sections listing a few games by category and some with recommendations based on games I play. I'm not sure why OP is experiencing this issue.
its questionable because profile avatars could be considered adult pornography, displaying it in public which is the issue because no filters are being provided to protect content from users.

in past years steam did inact a new policy that caused alot of avatar bans that showed skin and skin related graphical content.

steam sells it cause people like it, its a cheap buy and steam is only capitalizing on its sales market audience, i don't blame steam for this, its just that steam is a predominantly adult male user group consisting of graphic anime lovers.

Hell, I have adult content enabled and don't see it in the store.
I have all adult content enabled as well. I scrolled well down on the main page, and went to 4 or 5 different categories and flipped through several of their sub-categories. Outside of the Visual Novel page which is where you'd expect to find them, I only came across half a dozen at most - and about as many non-anime adult titles. Out of a couple hundred games. So a "flood" is not my experience either.

Yup... Seeing 1-2 anime style games on the front page " OMG THE ENTIRE STORE IS OVERRUN WITH WEEB CRAP! STEAM IS SO BAD NOW! RANT RANT RANT!"

Some people are really obsessed with hating anything anime looking.
Is this todays anti-anime jester farm thread?

If you don't like it; don't look at it.

Well...
Either it is actually advertising them, or casually admitting to own many of it.
Or having a funny teenager kid messing around. :)

I noticed a lot of anime porn in my discovery queue one day. When I checked my Steam preferences, it turns out that everything was allowed. I have no idea how or when that happened, but it could have been years ago. However, that didn't stop the tide of non-porn anime games. So, filtering out "anime", "JRPG", and "visual novel" basically killed all that. Now I just see clones of stuff like Civilization, XCOM, and Skyrim, which is more like what I wanted.
Gotta agree that if you don't want to see the porn, you shouldn't have opted into seeing the porn.

However I would say less low quality porn games would be welcome. Or actually, just fewer low-quality games in general. I understand it's an open distribution model where the barrier for entry is $100 and the game has to be, at minimum, some kind of game and not malware. I do wish they would raise that bar just a tiny bit higher.
There are also games which are not porn, but horror adventures with some, uhm, harsh intercourse thrown in for shock value. Yes, they classify under adult stuff and are filtered out along with it. Pity that. Those are actually good legit games.
