1) Disable spell checking by default. This is steam, not a word processor.
2) Include option to disable spell checking.

I was complementing my friend by typing
"Cool :o"
and hitting enter, which autoresulted in
"Cool
I wasn't bored. Stop implying I'm bored. Even your stupid spellchecker thinks it looks wrong.
As you can see, I tried it, but nothing got corrected (not now and not ever before)...
You misunderstand what is going on. There is no "correction" to the spell check itself. It just tells you it is wrong.

Well, either you deactivated it via a file modification and forgot about or your spelling is superb. ;)
lol, It stopped working months ago, after I installed another version of NVDIA. In them mean time I was also complaining about Steam, at steam forums tho, maybe I got a hidden punishment for that; That's a bit too fantasy.
