Dearest Steam,

I love you in all things save one. Your user interface is just poop. It's messy and cumbersome, easy to get lost in and outdated. I shall love you regardless, but please do hear my advice. Clean it up buttercup.

What are you suggesting? You're basically just saying "make it better" without mentioning anything specific. Suggestions that are this vague don't help much.

I don't know the original intent - but I would like to have an easy(obvious) way to have guides, discussions, libraries, my inventory, my wishlist, the store and the market (if not more) all open at the same time through the steam UI. I know my machine can handle it, why won't the steam ui?

Middle mouse click or Ctrl click should do that in most cases, just like in a browser.

Really? It doesn't for me. I tried both of those options to go from this discussion to look at my Library -> Games and it just takes me there. No second window.

I would like the multiple windows to work in the store. It is a real pain to not be able to see my cart and my search in separate windows. And if I add something to my cart and try to get back to my search to find something else - it usually craps with a session error of some kind. Not user friendly.

Seriously, I'm just trying to buy stuff - make it easy!

It is easy.

Middle click (or Ctrl Click) on the game and it will open a new screen. Anything with in the main window will work with this. The banner at the top is not part of the browser window.

Maybe you would be better off using a regular browser.

Question, how do you get "lost" in Steam? I'd love to know because Steam only has like 4 tabs, Store, Library, Community and *Your account name* as places to go.

Because I really find it ridiculous how one can make such a claim.

when i have time i wll compile my very specific complaints. this was meant as a light hearted nudge. i can see how butthurt some of you are getting over it though. maybe you should calm down a bit. it's all in good fun.
