Nope. There is no reason to go through and delete your posting history.
You can only delete a thread if there has been fewer then 6 or 7 replies. After that, it is considered a community thread.
You should think before you post as it is. Even if you delete it from your views, there are places out there that archive this (and every other) forum (on the internet) so nothing is ever realy gone.
Steam at some point decided it was okay to delete library games long forgotten and played if the owner so desired. I feel the same way about old posts too. On top of that since we can still edit our posts and delete what we have posted inside a thread I have 'wasted' (I'm sure your point of view?) time deleting all content I've posted that I can and editing out all content in posts I've originated renaming them 'Delete' which looks bad but that's all I can do if I can't delete my threads.
Now, if I could only clean up my garage!
Some things are just out of your control and you have to let it go. Like wise old Totoro said, you should be thinking before you post anyway and everything you post is permanantly archived elsewhere publicly, anyway. I think it's helpful to have a post history record in some casesl because sometimes I will doubt if something someone said is true, and by looking threw thier post history you can tell if they are an honest person or not.
Why are you posting garbage to begin with?
If you are just going to delete it, then why post?
Such behavior can lead to a ban as it is disruptive to the forums.
People have a right to contine a conversation, even after the original poster is gone. That shouldn't be taken from them. This is a public forum afterall. You can't take back what you said in a crowded room, so think before you speak.
And that removes the answer for other who may have the same issue and contributes to forum spam, and yes, it is disruptive. It also breaks the flow of a thread and creates gaps and confusion as someone will reply, yet no one will understand who they are replying to.
I'm disapointed you don't have any consideration for you fellow users.
Please refrain from excessively deleting threads/posts in the future.
