Add signature to forum post?

like most of forum have. it's will be fun, if anyone have signature in unique way ^_^
doing somelike gamefaq it's had only few line of signature and wasn't allow image to display. steam autoscan going work as well with it. >.<

No thank you, we don't need the extra spam in messages... And by that I mean someone answers with a no and then sig is 100 times bigger because you can fit a lot of stuff in just a "few" lines.

And then we'll be getting people begging for more lines because the 1 to a "few" are not enough for what they want....

So no we don't need to have this. Your profile, avatar and name is unique, thats good enough.

Old forms had it as much as I recall, and it did not transfer over

I think Valve is going for a more "clean" look here with less bell and whistles around, so I do find it unlikely
Some users do make them self on by posting in the end of each of there posts

I don't remember SPUF having signature at all. We didn't even have avatars there (Only for community mods/devs/Valve Staff)

In any case After being in multiple forums that feature signatures I'm not too fond of the option either. they end up resulting in a bunch of visual clutter.
The only way I'd see it happening here would be making it through the points shop, so the look&feel would be homogenous and avoid breaking the forums layout too much.

I remember the halcyon days of forums. I used to offer to make and host forum signature banners in Photoshop for people.
Every forum seemed to have it's own lingo. Memes were just memes. Trolling was tongue-in-cheek and everyone knew it.

Only if there's an option to hide signatures. I remember seeing some unnecessarily long signatures on other sites that you could break your mouse-wheel.

To be fair he doesn't always use the qr code, some of his tongue in cheek posts features a different emoji, and about .012% of the time he forgets and I try to be there to rib him mercilessly :P

I’m going to vote “No”.

Firstly, we don’t need a spam - scam site URLs, trade requests, Twitch, Sub my ‘Tubes!!! - bar. Users have profiles for that.

Secondly, it just feels kinda…old. Forums I use that still have this are pretty outdated now. Can’t say I’ve seen it recently on newer websites. Heck, even Valve moved away from it and they hate updating the discussion hubs.

Yes. Bit weird but dwellers of these forums are not exactly known for our sanity. :D

Its literally a little QR code emoticon for a game. I don't remember which one, Talos I think?...

Black Blade Above posted the QR code. Its safe to use your cell phone with it.

If you don't know what a QR code is, look it up in google or some other search engine. Short version, its an image used to for links on the internet. It can be used for other stuff like logging in automatically too. Windows uses it now when you have a Bluescreen so that you can take a picture of it with your cell and find out more general info.

They can also be used to spread malicious attacks, so not all QR codes are safe and you should only scan ones with your phone that is from a trusted source.
