Please increase screenshots file limit
Hello,

I was confirmed that Steam has a limitation of how many screenshots players could upload - around a total number of 25k.

I have 12 GB cloud space available but reached 20k of screenshots recently. I hate to delete older ones, I enjoy recording thoughts for games, I actually carefully select screenshots and add captions, rather than just upload a bunch of them.

I am not alone facing this same issue, it's disappointing that soon I cannot upload more even with space. I have enough SSD, but sharing on Steam then talking to friends who are interested is more fun.

Please consider increase screenshots file limit, thanks!

Screenshot limit should increase with Steam level.
Most of your screenshots are garbage, no big loss if you deleted them all.

If anyone had any real purpose to increase this limit I'd back it but 25k seems WAY more than generous already.

Maybe learn some self control and don't take screenshots of every other frame of the game you're playing.

If you want to have commentary during your gameplay, make a video. Let's Plays are not a new concept.

maybe just don't spam pointless screenshots?

I think it could maybe grow with the amount spend on games
That way users that get more games will have space for all that they may need for the games, and users playing F2P can get more space by spending money on in game items
both cases users covering the extra space cost

Also overall from what I know most connect time/spending, so it works on that as well

This topic did come up before
Not going to lie, most that asked for it I personally seen taken a lot of photos of the same things and stuff

if i read that right, you are below the mem limit but there is also a limit to how many?

if it is an oversight (or someone just thought nobody would want that many pics) and not a limitation with the software, i can't see any reason for it not to be allowed

Even if they did increase the limit, it would be just a short-term solution.
If you're uploading screenshots frequently enough to reach the current limit, then you'll reach the new limit fairly quickly as well, and then be back in this same situation again.

You have 18.6GB of cloud space and all for the low price of a one time payment of $5 per account. What other service does both of those?

it sounded to me like they had not reached that limit, but a limit on the number of uploads.

i can see not giving us more room, and letting the op swap out screenshots (can we save them to the computer and swap them out?)

but, i am curious if it is just something people said nobody would need more of or a limitation on the software

That's why I told the OP the amount of space they have available.

They are already saved locally before you upload them.

The old limit was 2GB and was dramatically increased to 18.6GB.

Cloud storage isn't free, resources and maintaining it costs a lot of money and definitely isn't a 1 time fee of $5 anywhere else.

Great idea!

Not at all since you can essentially level up for free.

Again, cloud services aren't cheap.
