I've found that Steam gift cards are hard to find for me too. I recommend buying a Visa or Mastercard gift card (which are available nearly everywhere) and just redeem with that until they're back in circulation.

I live and New Zealand and I went into e games to buy a steam gift card however they were out and when I asked they said it’s an issue with valve and no stores in my city have them.

Stores carry products. Stores are responsible for managing their inventory. Valve is not responsible for making sure every store stocks enough of its gift cards.

There also could be shortages. Supply chain disruptions are still ongoing.

Regardless, if Steam Gift Cards become too inconvenient because of limited availability you'll have to look at alternate payment methods.

Yes, some stores may have product shortages. I have seen stores have no Steam gift cards one day then several of them a few days later.

If that’s the case then it’s probably an issue with the company that prints out the cards rather than Valve themselves. Could even be delays from the company that ships the cards? Hard to know for sure, but it’s very unlikely to be something Valve has direct control over, be it printing the gift cards or printing it.

Either way, I hope the topic creator manages to find some gift cards soon.

It's what i'm rooting for. Steam/Valve weakness is relaying too much on third-party games instead of making/publishing games. Sooner or later devs/pubs will leave steam once again and their profit will slowly dwindle down while more and more competition will arise.

Honestly Valve is not going to bother with cloud games & gamepass. It's too much work for them.

Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, HMV, curry’s pc world, Argos and yet no steam gift cards and then finally I went to WH Smith’s and they only had 3 £20 gift cards left on the shelves. Fair to say I grabbed them quicker than Usain Bolt. Very lucky to find them. I wonder why Xbox and PlayStation and even Roblox gift cards are so common and yet it’s extremely rare to find steam gift cards.

i think they are called digital gift cards i will try too. but they always hav xbox cards
