L4D2 impossible achievement to get

Hi all

I got directed by steam support to write a message here, and maybe have a chance to be heard. I'm an avid achievement Hunter and I'm trying to complete the game Left 4 Dead 2. Unfortunately there's an achievement that is impossible to get called Good Guy Nick. Last time L4D2 had a free weekend was back in December 2013, which was nearly 6yrs ago

The point of this thread, was to know, if a dev can unlock this achievement via my steam profile since it's not possible to get anymore?

The last free weekend was this year in march, it was the first time people could get good guy nick since 2013 (to the point that me and other users made new accounts just to help people unlock it)
I'm afraid you missed your chance, and that nobody knows when the next free weekend will be, or if there will ever be one again

Also, steam support is useless. They told an admin in the l4d subreddit to go and ask a l4d subreddit admin for help, they litterally don't care about us, and you are better off asking the community directly with any questions in the future, since the community is basicaly managing the game themself already

thought the last free weekend was just in 2013, didnt even knew there was one that happen this year. I missed it by 1 month because I was in the hospital hahah damnit xD. do you know by any chance anyone who still have the new accounts and help others get it?

Last free weekend happened this year, there is still a possibility that it will happen again, but you might as well kiss the 100% completion goodbye, it could have been anyone's last chance.

You can only earn it during the timespan that a free weekend is active, and only with a player who doesn't own the game and is basically playing the "public demo" of it within that time.

Honestly, it's such a huge thing to have a free weekend that you'll see the forum filled with people announcing it and offering help to unlock it, so just keep an eye out for that.

The free weekend in march was known about 2 hours before it started, so it's likely people would notice it again before it starts and start discussing it, if it ever happens again.

Steam support don't know what they're talking about the majority of the time and will just say whatever they think will make you click the "my problem is solved" button.


No devs post on this forum. No devs have for years. No one with any ability to manually fix your problem themselves will ever see this thread (assuming a dev even can).


Your solutions to this problem are to wait for another free weekend, which was a three year wait last time, or just to use an achievement unlocker.

don't want to get a VAC ban using an achievement unlocker, but yeah i'll wait for the free weekend
