Steam Streamer Mode

Something I've noticed and been curious about is why Steam doesn't have a streamer mode option. I can easily put myself on invisible and deal with that but that's not the same. I just want to be able to flip on a button and be like I'm streaming don't download anything in the background don't make pings, don't bug me. It's just an idea though I can easily work around it.

Agreed, a streamer mode would be a very convenient feature that would not require a lot of effort to implement. Considering how a lot of streamers do use steam for their games, the benefit of this to the userbase would greatly outweigh the likely minimal cost of implementing it.

Im always amazed when people say this about other people's money.

What is in it for Steam? If your games are here, they already have your money. What does this do for Valve's revenue stream?
