So let me correct, speaking for some people of the community*
Happy?
Good. My point still stands. Let me reiterate... "Valve seems to think they are more profitable to have them on the points shop."
They don't...
Steam Points are a bonus for spending money not the reason
I do not disagree with your opinion. My original post still is valid though.
1. Lots of busty ladies in bikinis shaking/slapping/tittydropping etc. as avatars. Add a few white/black frames to the start to make it harder to detect and report.
2. Lots of ladies with well formed behinds shaking/slapping/twerking etc. as avatars. Add a few white/black frames to the start to make it harder to detect and report.
3. Lots of irritating color patterns and effects as avatars.
4. Lots of avatars where the advertisement for a 3rd party site is hidden behind a few frames, making it harder to detect and thus report&remove.
5. Steam Support swamped with reports, having to remove and ban people from having avatars.
6. People filling the forums with their complaints when their "cool" avatar was removed.
7. Irritating everyone who dislike animated avatars.
Keeping animated avatars in the Points Shop means that people have to buy games to get them. It also means that Valve can control the content introduced as animated avatars.
Thanks for being respectful and show your point of view, I do agree with the part of the bikini women and all
This.
Any time Valve lets community to do anything they go & abuse it.
If they had some type of system that checks the uploaded regular/animated avatar then maybe, so we don't have to have porn and inappropriate ones uploaded.
