[STEAM Profile Feature] Profile welcoming / background music

Hello,

It would be nice to add an option to any steam profile where anyone from outside (friends) can listen the profile's music set by the profile owner.

Like i want to set a music / game OST in the background while is stay on my own profile or anyone who visit my profile.

Haven't heard of "MySpace".

Regarding my request is an optional personalizing profile of anyone's choice so if you don't want it, you are not forced to adopt it. ;)

And what difference does “it would (obviously) be optional” make to the viability of the idea?

People don't want music blasting unexpectantly in their face. Especially considering that there is a 99.9 % chance they don't like the music. Or they already have something else running casuing a cacophony.

In my case, if the profile is private but not for my friends who enjoy the music i make, i can say it would be interesting to add a profile background music while they stay on my profile.

We remember MySpace. Of course we don't like the idea.

Also the only. The absolute only! way this would ever happen is with music provided by Steam.

Not a bit, no. Webpages that load sudden sounds (or videos) are annoying, at best.

It would be even better if people used the search feature to look for and READ threads about the topic they want to post about BEFORE posting it and kept their posts all in one thread if they actually have anything to add.

As has been said a bunch of times already, no. You can use the search feature to read those reasons, some already stated here, and in that other thread.

Looks like it's something people want.
Sometimes there's a great deal of people who'd like something even though other people scoff at the idea.
That's why WoW Classic is a thing now.

Even when the majority of the people wants said feature, its still Valves decision to add it, or not.

People have suggested this for years, if Valve ever had the intention to add such feature, they would have added it a long time ago.
