Make Ctrl+R a Reload Shortcut for Steam App
In Google I can reload any tab such as a Steam tab quickly by going Ctrl+R

In the Steam app I have to right-click then select reload or go F5.

That is less intuitive.

Ctrl+R as an additional reload shortcut would make sense.

I would also wager this is not hard to code.

You can already use F5 which is the standard key to re-load so this idea is completely pointless.

You can do F5 or enable the address bar in the settings to enable the refresh button.

Didn't know that. I don't have F5 on my keyboard though and I remember ctrl+R since I use that regularly, so it would make sense to offer both.

So... why not use a keyboard with standard keys? Valve and web browsers may not be on the hook for every hardware decision you make.

If it doesn't have dedicated F-keys, then there is usually a function button to hold, while you push other keys to act as F-Keys.

You can enable the address bar in the setting as well and there will be a reload button to the left of the address bar.

Often the F keys then are an alternate function of the numbered keys (and the -/= one).

Oh I know, it's just that's more of a hand inconvenience in practice.

F5 is the universal refresh key used by all modern browsers. So makes sense to use that instead of using non standard keys

Two key presses, versus two key presses. Not seeing the inconvenience.

So a simple inconvenience for you requires Steam to rework their app?

Makes perfect sense, much like other recent suggestions.

Seriously?
F5 - a single hit, in an easy to reach place for people regardless of their mouse hand. :cozyprodman:

There is nothing "less intuitive" about hitting one button vs holding one and then hitting another. Please stop suggesting things for Steam because it's how you want it, this clearly has no benefit at all for the majority of users and is yet-another self serving thread.

As pointed out, F5 is universal and simple to use.
