making for disabled gamers
I am a disabled gamer who is unable to use the standard keyboard and mouse. I have an adaptive controller that allows me to use a joystick with my mouth and a sip and puff for basic clicking commands. I would love to see in the game information how much of the keyboard versus mouse is needed to play the game. I often purchase games that look like point-and-click, that turned about to have many keyboard controls.

Accessibility has gotten better throughout the years for people who use alternative control devices, it would be great to see steam make gaming even better for all of us.

I actually started running attempts, to make my reviews readable for people without sight, by using some text to speech program, and make it be spoken correctly, and easy to listen to, in case they ever need to be narrated. The software does miracles as a spell check as well. Instead of reading the review, you can simply have the whole review automatically narrated.
The wonders of modern technology. I should have thought of that before, because such software is really useful, and recommendable to use. People should start thinking about that more often.
Too bad I rarely review such point-and-click titles, but the people that do, should consider this as well, I think.

I am not sure how much research VALVe does in this area, but I am researching this as well, coincidentally at this very moment. There is still much that can be improved upon, I think.

Depending on your disability if your feet/legs are workable you could consider trying some foot pedals to perform different keyboard commands. I have a little nerve damage in my left hand so have 4 of these pedals assigned to \, z, x and q so my feet can do what I struggle to do with my hands.

This is also interesting. I have been experimenting with this for some time now. The developer still works on it, I saw. Maybe it can be of some use, in some situations.

But it is a lot of work to setup right. People will probably end more time fiddling with it, than actually using it. But it can still be fun for making sequences of key-presses, and movements, automatically openening programs, etc. That sort of thing. Automation software.
But it requires a fair bit of know-how.

Steam does have some things that can be used. Especially if you have someone around that knows how to setup such things proper. It is probably not very good as a professional suite, because it does not cost much, but it is still something fun. I did buy it. Someone on the other forum suggested it. I just had to have it.

Thank you for the feedback, there are many games I can play. my main point was that it is difficult to know if I will be able to play game properly until I buy it. It would be nice to find the information for the games if it had a little more indication on how keyboard versus mouse heavy gameplay is.

I do use Dragon NaturallySpeaking which is useful for some games.
Unfortunately that requires the developers to put that information on the store page. It's not something steam can add.

yes, that is true. Maybe the steam could ask developers to submit that information

Until, if and when, sites like CanIPlayThat got you covered to some extent.

I think for now curators and tags are good ways to find out about it, curators more than tags as they can say what and so on about the game allow to play in case I dose not fit everyone that tags will have to be somewhat general on
If not that then I guess asking in the forums may be one of the best options
