On-screen gamepad
Could something like touch controls on mobile games be added to steam? I have a windows tablet and I cant play any games because I dont have a way to play them, and the only touch control gamepads I found on internet didn't even work, or were too bad. Would also be nice if it was customizable.

Why not just get a bluetooth capable gamepad and pair it with your windows tablet?
You can use SteamInput to use it even in games that have no controller support.

Would be way better than those on-screen controls.

Maybe I dont want to take a controller that wastes space in my bag, and probably get broken meanwhile it would be in my bag.
Also I would be fine with latency if it wouldnt be really big, I just want to be able to play games on my tablet.

I just meant some on screen controls like joystick and buttons that would act to the game as a controller, I didnt mean anything complex

But it is complex.

What you are asking for is both a niche request and a complicated request.

I may be missing something, but Steam Link app already has this? at least on Android
So seeing they all ready did it I don't think adding it to Windows as an option is a huge stretch (even that I get the interface and all is different as the separate OS)

Touch controls would have to be coded directly into each game by the developer. There would be too much latency if such controls were part of an overlay built into the Steam client.

I dont think it would have to be. I feel like, and it would take work, to add control overlays-- they already do it with inputs- IE when you hit a key or a button on a controller you can have the input pop up on the screen.

It would make some games more accessible, such as point and click games, or games like Civ 6 or something.

It's really not Valve's job to make other people's games more accessible...

more accesebility = more people to profit from
