Wireless Valve Index
I would like a Wireless Valve Index like the Oculus Quest but more powerful with the capability of accessing my Steam library without having to connect to my PC. Virtual Desktop is nice but having my entire library in the HMD would be super convenient.

The idea of feet tracking is controversial(?) to some people when it comes to the Oculus Quest but I'm sure it would be possible to make something that can see the feet. Natural Locomotion is cool but not a perfect alternative.

Again, it would be nice to have it all compact. I hate setting up sensors even though I've done it for the Rift and Vive. Cordless is the way to go. We can get rid of the latency issues if someone builds a powerful lightweight HMD.

Maybe Valve is working on it right now. They did say they have many hardware projects in works. Was in final hrs?. I don't remember.

I will say its kind of like saying "I want a headset that will do a hologram in front of me so I don't need to wear and glass"
I mean wireless and lightweight is something I think everyone wants and the companies will likely work on it, the problem is the tech for now and keeping it in a fair price, I assume it's possible to do it now but will cost so much that most will not want it making its price not viable to make

It's likely going to come later on as long as VR remains alive and don't die as of any silly reasons :D:

Will say this topic also likely be better in the SteamVR hub as more VR guys are there I think then here :)

They are indeed working on it, Gaben has said that "Wireless is a solved problem at this point", however that was back in early 2017 and he was expecting it to be an integrated feature by 2018. I think the technology is there, but making it a standard and consumer viable is the hard part.

I'd be happy with a wireless adapter like you can get with the Vive.
