If you think the artwork or aassets are used without consent...contact the creator and let them know..
All the malcontents lacking any sort of empathy come out and say "and another thing! I don't like this so it shouldn't be here".
OP, a few things you NEED to learn because it'll help in life as a whole.
The world does not revolve around you, nor do you have any sort of special power that makes you the ultimate "average consumer". Your tastes are as valid as any other persons, not better or worse - equal.
As such, Vlave's Steam is a SHOP with essentially INFINITE shelf space. Why should they not stock whatever the hell sells? It has NOTHING to do with you. It does not markedly hurt you by being here. Use your searches correctly and at best you'dd get only the occasional mild inconvenice of viewing a couple.
Plus, you assume you know best. Wrong. Sorry to break it to you but whenever you can't see why something is a certain way, it is best to assume YOU are mssing something rather that "it must be them who's wrong".
And don't you think Valve would be best placed to have all the data to show whether these games are WORTH offering for sale? Where's your evidence?
Sorry, but posts that are childishly selfish and lacking in empathy I find to be the most counter-prodcutive posts of all on here.
that's not the business im talking about
think about it; what would you expect people to do while watching hentai? I'll give you a clue, you could get arrested for doing it in public.
???????
I mean some of these games are really pump and dump games. You spend the most minimal budget creating it, advertise the crud out of it for a very short window and then abandon it or release little BS content updates.
I guess I just grew up in an era when new Gems were being crafted and new game play concepts were the norm.
sorry I may have been more figurative then literal. I just feel like there are loads of games with that same 2D, graphics and view angle. Where you walk around and interact with people. Like pokemon blue, etc. Now, I liked those games when we had NES/SNES systems and gameboys, but I feel a little cheaped out by those in this era. (I'm not saying I'm expecting these 100GB high end graphics games either) Some of the high end looks amazing but they've got no new content over an existing similar game, just a beautiful new reskin.
I guess maybe I'm just board with it. I subscribe to humble and I get 10 games a month, I often feel like at least 3 of these games are barely worth my time. (the kind of game that steam sells for $10 and then issues you a 90% of coupon when you craft a badge)
Irony is though that those snes style 2 games. They age a lot better than games that try to be all photo realistic and high-end. EVery game that sold itself on high end looks like crap now. Whereas most pixel art and sylized games.. they manage to keep looking good years laters.
Very true. I remember when those attempts. Especially the football managers. OMG some of those age bad.
No, there isn't. For one simple reason: Earthbound is good. :^)
Also, if you're referring to RPG Maker -- RPG Maker is intended to emulate the style of Final Fantasy VI, not Earthbound (and it doesn't really do a good job of it.)
Yeah, maybe pick your words more carefully because it makes you look really uninformed.
Pokemon Blue & Final Fantasy VI have worlds that are locked to grid-systems, Earthbound is not locked to a grid-system and is generally considered a better game than most games on grid systems, for not having this restriction.
Pokemon Blue is a lot different looking than Earthbound & the type of game you're referring to is most likely games made in RPG Maker.
Go to your preferences and update your ignored tags to include the "RPG Maker" tag, allowing you to ignore the vast majority of games that look like that:
...you can do what Tito suggested here by entering the "RPGMaker" tag into your filter and adding it to your preferences, since there's a tag for that.
Also, I already countered this argument:
So, your point might apply with what the OP is taking issue with but not all of those other indie games that are "like another game".
You -FEEL- they're re-skins of the same game? ...or you KNOW?
That's a pretty important distinction! Either the levels / gamplay of these games are copies of each other that have no new puzzles... or they're NOT! (in which case, even if the puzzles are "the same sort of thing" -- then in that case they're still new puzzles!)
The thing is, though, the OP's point goes further. If they really don't want to see the games, they should be able to just use the ignore button on the developers' store profile pages ...except... a lot of developers don't have store profiles. :v
...so that's a problem for anyone who doesn't want these items to keep appearing in their "3 GAMES SIMILAR TO THIS OTHER GAME YOU PLAY!" stuff.
These 2 developers actually have store profiles & can be blocked by following these instructions:
The rest of them can not be blocked / ignored, which is a flaw in the implementation of this feature.
And you know that for a fact, how?
Well, that's the only valid argument he could be making or attempting to make (except it's not valid because that's not the way that "transferring stuff over the internet works"). I just thought it was kind of funny, initially, because the only way that post could be relevant to the discussion is if he thought that contagions could be transferred via the internet but I think it's clear what he was really doing.
No, he wasn't doing that, though... it's that thing that people pull when they say "You're a level 0 Steam user, therefore your opinion doesn't matter & isn't even worth considering. Nor is it worth considering what is really making you take this position."
...except he's being actually rather presumptuous and offensive about it.
Why should I, or anyone, assume that someone who watches hentai, porn, erotic, fox news, master chef, or stargate sg-1 -- doesn't wash their hands? ...or any other activity for that matter, such as working in a kitchen, or welding.
Except someone can be sanitary when doing any of those things & more importantly, sanitation has nothing to do with whether games are good or not, blockable or not, or if those games should or shouldn't be allowed on Steam (because I just get so many cantagions from visiting web-pages & downloading games! (I don't. It doesn't work that way.))
You'd think this doesn't have to be explained to anyone but, for some people... it does.
There's literally no correlation -- it's an assumption being used to create a strawman argument, rather than actually addressing the points in the topic with something that actually makes sense and is relevant to the discussion.
(Or to be a little more blunt... All 5 of user, "◯ -𝔸scendant 𝔹radi- ✯" 's existing posts in this topic (as they are now before any further edits) are spam. (probably unintentionally so))
...which is probably why another post (that I didn't see) got deleted, if this is really the type of fallacies that you're going to use as an argument - defaming the OP's character with baseless, presumptuous, statements instead of actually making a relevant point. (Now, if you can quote the OP admitting to being unsanitary, then I guess it's not baseless, but it's still irrelevant to this topic.)
*bored, not board
Also, this is an issue with lack of innovation from developers. You could (could, not saying you would) take down all the games you like (or more properly worded: that you don't like) but it won't add anything that is missing to the store.
In this regard - be the change you want to see. If you have such great game design ideas, make them happen -- either by figuring out how to make a game yourself or pitching your ideas (probably for free) to a developer that you think will actually implement them.

If you don't like what they're cooking... cook something better.
Also, links to the Steam store are, apparently, "spam".
Doesn't matter what the title, description, or content of the game or topic is:
