Linked accounts / libraries
So, since there are some games sold on Steam that still need you to link your Steam account to a third party one in order to play them (e.g. Doom Eternal needing you to link a Bethesda account), and some of these third party companies have their own launchers, is there any logical reason why, having the accounts linked, the game you purchased should not be available on both launchers? Some of those third party launchers are ugly and/or inconvenient or lacking features, and there's little to no reason to install them just to play one game. Since the accounts are already linked, is there some way to link the libraries associated with them as well?

It is up to the game dev/pub to decide that.

There is a competitor to Steam platform, and it's interface has links to launch several games from several 3rd party publishers.

Playnite probably.

I recommend Playrite, as I've just found out about it.

It's a frontend that just links all your games in one place, and it's nice and easy to read.

No need to bugger about with ugly launchers for one game anymore.

You mean it works with all of them? The option to add a non-Steam game to the library won't work with anything installed through the Bethesda launcher. I've tried.

I don't know how many libraries it works with, but I've successfully got Steam, Origin, Humble Bundle, GOG and Blizzard on there. I could add XBL and PSN if I wo wished too, but I don't know wther that's just a display thing rather than launching.
