Enable users to change the price of their items after they are up for sale (in the community market)
The market price of the items are continuously changing, and users are having difficulty selling their items because they have to wait for 15 days. This 15 days change price of the items very much, making user's loss or disrupting smooth transaction. Therefore, I suggest we can change the price of a product through email verification at 15 days after the item is put in the market.

Even with it, it's still a hassle. You have to de-list, re-list, and re-confirm the item. And if you wanna do it in bulk, well....

Believe it or not, there are people who don't have/want a smartphone for a variety or reasons. And even if I had one, running the mobile authenticator app on it would be about the last thing I would want. The OP is absolutely right to wish for a price change feature. I have seen it myself many times, you list some items and by the time the 15 days trade hold has passed, prices have changed in such a way that you will probably never get your item sold anytime soon. With your only option being to cancel the listing, re-list it and wait for yet another 15 days, just to repeat the whole process over again.

maybe valve could make that an authenticator feature to reduce botting

The question would be, how would this effect the market?

If so many users kept changing thier price, in order to keep undercutting (or using a bot to do so, reverse ebay snip) how would that effect the system?

Would there be slowdowns?

Would anything break?

What if one user was at a lower price, then just as someone bought it, changed it to a higher price?

I can see why the item must fully be removed, especialy with out answer to how allowing such a system could impact how the market functions. Sady, it isn't as easy as just allowing the ability to change prices at will.

I believe the ability to change the price is a central point of any free market economy. The 15 days trade hold is already shifting things badly in favour of mobile authenticator users. Me personally, I just don't care enough whether I sell an item worth like $0.05 tomorrow or like christmas ten years from now. And I believe I am not alone in this regard. So after all it's Valve's lost profit if people are deterred from using the community market at all.

Not so. The system isn't built with changing prices in mind, so there can be many issues that can happen (and some most likely will).

I gave examples of some already. Instant price wars being one what will happen.

Just put a limiter in place that limits price changes to once per item within a 24 hour period, problem solved.
