Would be too much for the client to have. And the security issues that would arise from it.

No it wouldn't. What's so difficult to use Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, IE, ... that you have installed anyway and that offer far more functionality than Steam ever will.

Stop trying to have a one-stop solution for everything. Dedicated software will always be superior to some half-assed tacked-on features.

That will make no need to other browers and a solution for the security solutions block the steam 3rd party info transfer

Look, even the Internet Explorer has more features and is better than using Steam for browsing the internet.

So just use one of the popular ones because it'll a lot better because it will most likely have all you want.

A few words many will complain about, bloat, resources and addons/extentions being disabled.

I'm not sure Valve wants to partner up with Microsoft. I don't see that happening.

And why can't you install it on your PC?

It violates college rules, only admins can install software, and they would never allow steam.

Then everything here is moot for you if you can't even install Steam itself. A real browser with Steam would not solve your issue.

And that is typical for many schools.

I just think Steam are loosing out on customers by not developing there Web browser version.

I think Discord is rapidly losing user because they don't offer even half the options Photoshop does.

If you want to use a webbrowser - use a webbrowser. Most of us have a mobile device of some descriptions available, so they can use this to access the internet during gaming.
