remove games from your profile
A function i am personally missing right now is the option to remove a game from your profile (Game & DLC).
The reason i want this is that i used to play games that were since then removed from steam or discontinued but they still exist in my library but also games i once bought that were fun then but just not anymore.

the way this could be achieved would be similair to the way a steam account is removed with a special cooldown in which it cannot be used for x amount of days and if you do or decide to cancel the removal of it that it will stay.

A possible extra function/expansion of this function could be to also remove the badge and achievements so it wont affect your steam showcase etc or that you can select to keep those or remove them with the game

suggestions/edits to this function are welcome!

There are functions to hide the game from your library and what not.

Support pages, library options and so on are available to you.

I doubt they'll give users the option to remove stats such as achievements.

i have them already hidden indeed but they are still visible on your profile (found that out thanks to a friend of mine)

i also understand why they wouldnt want to add this due to people removing games and afterwards contacting support that they regret it that is why i have specified a cooldown

but lets hope for the best :)

You can remove a game through the support pages. Stats will remain, though.

Go here...

https://help.steampowered.com/en/

Search and click on game, choose "I want to permanently remove..."

And that is completely reversible if you change your mind.

Yep.

Stats/Achievements are another matter and the database does not support their removal. This is likely due to the information being tied into other aspects of Steam.

thanks for these replys but i know the function.
I usually call it the "Hide" function since you can restore the game and that indeed all the stats will remain.

Even when support was removing games at a user's request (and they could not be restored), the stats would still remain.
