Can't send blocked people games as gifts directly from the store

When you block all communatication (Not "The Block") someone in your friends list, you can't send that person games as gifts directly from the store. It just doesn't come up on the list. You have to unblock all communications in order to see the person on the list. I guess, that's a bug. I mean, just because someone is annoying all the time, doesn't mean I won't send them gifts ever again.

I've seen multiple people block me for the sake of hiding the fact they have a grill on their friendslist from their SO's, but not delete, bc they didnt want to delete, although I go ahead and delete anyway if I notice that, bc I dont want to inadvertently get involved with peoples dramas. I can see how its useful in some situations, but also it's snidey af and a weird system they have in place. Sometimes I'll block a person on my friends list as to put them on my block list where I don't forget about them and will unblock to say hi

Well there are bunch of friends and cousins on my list, and I don't like to talk to them and also don't want them to see me online. Hence the block.
P.S.: I don't like to be invisible to others either

Who are you to decide whether what should I do or not with my own money? Huh? If I want to do something, I'd like to be able to do it. Basic stuff.

This thread is not meant for community but developers. Just add a blocked section to the gift list

In general, you use blocking so you can never interact with that people again, even their forum posts become hidden. For a rare case like yours, you can manually unblock them to gift games

My work around it, was unblocking. duh! But still I shouldn't have to

It's not like you don't see their reply for example on this thread I blocked you and when I updated the page, there was a section called "Blocked user - Show" below my thread so it's not like an absolute thing. Also I can still see blocked people on my friends list whether they are playing or online. Only they can't see me. Just like a one way mirror. After all this, It is justified. If your system isn't completely ghosting blocked people, then don't ghost them on the gift list, either. I mean it'd be more profitable for steam. And again this is just some basic stuff. I shouldn't be asking for this on a "Suggestion" page

Just because people use features not as intended doesn't mean there is something to fix.
"Block" means "stop all communications" and it's rather unusual to still have enough contact with them to want to send them a gift.

This is a freaking "SUGGESTION FORUM". If you're gonna tell me this is how it works, and works as intended then please don't tell anything. You're like Apple, saying "You're using it wrong", "Small percentage of users have been having this issue/problem" this kind of bulIshit really makes me crazy. As a consumer, I'm entitled to ask for more and better.

And as consumers we're allowed to voice our opinion on your suggestion. This is a discussion forum after all.

Your suggestion solves a non-issue. As such it is not worth the resources it would take to plan, develop and implement and then maintain. Valve does not have infinite resources that they can throw around to address every whim of every user. They need to pick and choose carefully. Pointing out how useless a suggestion is hopefully helps them in their work.
