IN game music mute while spotify is playing
Ithink it would be good that steam and spotify finally link, so when you play a game of dota2 and turn spoitfy on you do not have to go into the settings to mute the muis.c

So you want Steam to monitor any incoming packages and modify system settings?

I hope you're not one of the people who got militant against Red Shell and the like.

Or you could do it yourself because most people will not want their games look at all the other stuff thats going on in their system.

It doesn't take you like to disable or enable game music, seriously seconds. Or just do like I do and turn off in game music for good and just use what ever player you like to listen to what ever music you like and never turn in game music on ever again.

Yeah, I don't know if I want Valve to poke around my system even more than they already do.

Kind of pointless as this idea would only affect Valve games. Already not a good idea. How hard is it to just turn off the music in game, and just play spotify, and set it up with hotkeys?

why when I could just ultimately press play and then have both

So you want both ingame music, and spotify music playing at the same time?

Do realize that again Steam/Valve isn't going to touch anyone game files, they're not going to edit their games, or anything, as this need to inject a new lines of codes, as well find the calls for all sounds for each game, edit all sound calls, and etc... Which again why should they waste millions of dollars, and cause problems with game devs?

Either turn off the ingame music, and just play spotify, and set it up with hotkeys, it's not hard to do that at all...

But hey if you want to give Devs, and Steam million of dollars, go right ahead, contact all 30k+ games devs, and Steam, to do this, and you're willing to pay for it all out of your own pocket, and you're going to pay up front too. But if you can't do that, then why should they do what you ask?

There's no real point doing this, FYI as this involves Steam having to pay them money as well to have their service used in their game. Hence why should they do this?
