DISABLE STEAM INVENTORY TRADING CARDS, ETC.

Dear Steam,

Please allow users the option to disable the terribly annoying and useless trading cards / badge crafting / gems functions in the inventory.

I am certainly not the first to suggest this, and I wont be the last -- so get it done!

I don't think it will never happen, trading cards/badges are a good source of incomes for Valve and they need them to be noted; just ignore alerts and move on (sell them if they bother you so much).

They won't be disabled but you can give them away to someone that will use them, trade enough of them for a game you'd like, sell on the market or simply ignore what's in your inventory.

Why are there so many people supporting this ridiculous money grab? and why do these "supporters" always recommend selling the cards as a viable solution? Selling the cards is not going to make the notification spam stop.

But i couldn't care less about getting rid of the cards. Its the non-stop stream of notifications that "You've got a new notification" that are only just new cards that i want to stop. And while you may not see it as a money grab that fact that the trading card tab is the first thing you see in any game page and its not removable like the community media tab is makes it clear that valve does.

EVery single game page does not nor ever have the community trading card tab show up first.

I just checked Path of Exile, which has cards, there was nothing on the Store page, there was nothing on the game page to click on for trading cards At all.
Especially not the VERY FIRST like you claimed.

Well i cerntainly appreciate the apology (Maybe we can tone the convo down a bit now?) but i havent moved the tabs around, although i would like to know how to do that so i can move the trading card tab lower so its not the first thing i see when looking at a game

I've tried dragging the tab but that doesn't seem to work and the only option in the settings is to hide the community tab, how do you move them around?

For me on the right It shows things in this order

'Friends that play'
Lists them or tells me to sign in to see them

'Achievements'
Lists what I have accomplished and some I haven't yet

'Trading Cards'
Shows a row or 2 of the cards


Quite often I only see Trading cards title and maybe the top of some of the cards. Does depend on he game, friends and my achievement achieved tho.
