Timestamps on Steam chat.

I believe this is a quality-of-life feature when it comes to chatting with your friends. Putting time stamps on the conversation helps keep track of the time.

Seems to be broken, I'm sure I selected the option to have time stamps on just recently. Doesn't work. / IDK

Steam client menu > steam > settings > friends > display timestamps (near top)

for me it only gives a timestamp on last message :(

you can hover over the names and it shows the time for that message.

now if i can only figure out why mine are a day behind....

Because the Chat was updated since this thread was created.

The OP's issue was a bug, not a feature Valve changed.
