So you don't see the, "Join and sub my thread" posts that users tend to do just like reps and YT/Twitch/Discord sub/follow spam that we already have to deal with? You want more of that?
Mainly because the number of subs is not relevant. People who need a counter for that are in need of other things that Valve can not offer them.
Or I'd like to know because I'm giving away keys on a thread and I'm just curious about how many people are subscribed to the thread since it's the same few people who ask for the keys most times.
The number may vary and not all users auto sub to threads.

Which would not be correct anyways. How would this be of any value to every other thread?
Are you saying Valve can't make a counter? How do they notifiy people when there is a new post?
In group discussions I can see it but on the forums, I doubt it. It holds no real value to have it outside of groups.
