An option to edit messages
On Discord you have the option to edit messages, like if you make a typo, while on Steam you can only do this on the forums, what if they added a more broad editing option so we can easily fix errors?

wow all these suggestions and implementations.. scammers would love this idea.. scam someone then go back and edit your message to them,... then claim you never scammed them.. sounds legit..

Support sees edits. They have all the logs necessary.

I'm not talking about support, they aren't really doing to do anything about it, besides maybe trade ban you.. I'm talking about reputation on trader sites, which you can't edit away yourself.. Most sites have a review set up to report scammers..

I don't care about Steams trade ban for a few days, then the scammer will just use steam keys to scam.. I care about their reputation on various trade sites..

3rd party sites are not affiliated with Valve and have no bearing on the decisions Valve makes.

but when i'm trading with someone using valves service, it does.. IE giving scammers tools to scam isn't something I want valve to do.. IE easily editing messages, screen shotting those messages and using them as evidence on a third party trading site that you're not a scammer..

It's almost like you're intentionally attempting to be obtuse..

Oh wow, nice.

Also, take that, all those people who said that Valve would never make a way to hide playtime or hide whether one is playing anything or chat "invisibly".
