Steam Inventory Bloat/Load Problem

Are there plans to improve Steam Inventory, inventory with 1000+ items tend to take very long to load and that is annoying for traders and sellers.

Anyway as a suggestion, something that might help is to load emoticons, cards, wallpapers on separate categories instead of fitting them all on the "community" cat.
That won't help much when the inventory you're trying to view still has thousands of trading cards.

Also thank you for the wishlist update, it's so much more fluid and a joy to browse now.

but yea, i agree, a fix for large inventories are long overdue

Same for big game libraries. If you click "games" shortcut on profile, you're doomed for infinite loading, especially on mobile app.
Long overdue for a pagination system like they finally did for badges.
But hey, it just quality of life bullcräp, as long as they don't earn money from it they won't care...

I just clicked through the first 200 pages of your steam inve, at page 83 it buffered a second or two then didnt buffer again till 163, didnt find it slow at all.

I just clicked through the first 200 pages of your steam inve, at page 83 it buffered a second or to the didnt buffer again till 163, didnt find it slow at all. :gearthumbsup:

Not always of course, but sometimes it takes minutes to load, not to mention that if you want to select a card that starts with the letter Z for example search won't help you because the search will only work for loaded pages, meaning first you have to wait until the whole inv is loaded before you search, and it becomes a chore when you're trying to sell dozens of items or trying to trade several items.

with my over 2700 DOTA 2 items, a lot with high value I can't load my inventory AT ALL! How am I supposed to sell on market/trade? We need some improvements to this.

Dota 2 inventory services has been screwed since the Battle Pass released. That has nothing to do with the topic.

OP is talking about community over 1000+ items, i can attest that it's the same bug that's happening with my DOTA 2 inventory, as I also have a community over 1000 and it takes a 'while' to load that, but AT LEAST it loads. DOTA 2 inventory doesn't load at all.

OP is talking about community over 1000+ items, i can attest that it's the same bug that's happening with my DOTA 2 inventory, as I also have a community over 1000 and it takes a 'while' to load that, but AT LEAST it loads. DOTA 2 inventory doesn't load at all.

Because that is specifically a DOTA2 inventory problem, not a high number taking forever problem which is what the OP was on about.
