also, epic is new and they are also being more selective about what gets on their platform
AAA (video game industry)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
AAA (pronounced and sometimes written Triple-A) is an informal classification used for video games produced and distributed by a mid-sized or major publisher, typically having higher development and marketing budgets. AAA is analogous to the film industry term "blockbuster".
Games like,
Call of Duty.
PUBG.
Battlefield.
Rainbow Six.
Monster Hunter World.
Mortal Kombat.
Ect ect...
I'd list more but I cant because I haven't seen many triple A games here on Steam.
It's either a Problem that Steam lacks having these Titles, or....
They suck at Marketing them.
I'm coming from 17 Years of playing on Xbox to recently switching to PC and the differences in Games Stores are Night and Day.
I'm not saying Indie Games are Bad.
I just dont really care to try them out.
When im on the Xbox Store ( Console not windows )
Every single Game is Triple A Rated.
and thats all Im asking for, is a Section of Steam that only sells those Games.
I know they exist on Steam...Its just a Pain in the "Explicit" to find them.
Its like looking for a Good Book in a Library but without that 1 Filter that could cut the crap from my search.
learn how to use the filters (you can block anything with indie in it )yourself or follow a curator that only curates AAA games that you also seem to want.
https://store.steampowered.com/account/preferences/
https://store.steampowered.com/curators/topcurators/?filter=all&keywords=AAA&x=0&y=0
so if you don't like how it is on pc, i would recommend that you should go back to xbox.
Please do list the developers you think meet this definition, as well as the evidence supporting that belief.
You know what I mean...
I do not want to play/see crap games.
If I could, Id stick every Title Steam has on the "Week Long Sale" straight into the dumpster...
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=-492
Simply excludes all games tagged "indie" (i.e. tag number 492, which has a negative sign here to indicate exclusion).
Here's a link that specifically points to games, and excludes stuff like DLCs etc.:
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=-492&category1=998&page=4
There's also that preferences link that someone else already posted, which is a more general exclusion, not just for the search.
not sure what this has to do with "political correctness" (as presumably that's what you mean by "PC")
Regardless, don't be surprised if it includes games you're not interested in -- there are still over 8000 non-indie games on Steam, according to search results.
Also, you can actually follow developers/publishers you like. I think you click the dev/pub name on a store page and if they've set up a page for themselves you can follow it like you follow a curator.
It also means bureaucratic or, by the book so to speak...Logical without Human reason, Like Spock.
Also, that link is sorta what im going for but more narrowed down.
Where’d you come up with that?
Also, all medium sized developers that don't make the cut would raise hell if the definition doesn't include them.
Lastly, the AAA games at the top are mostly exclusives at their publishers store or Epic these days.
Besides, it´s not crap. These are all great games, if you like many things. And I find it fun to look through all those obscure titles. How can you not enjoy that? I think it´s fair to not have such a filter.
But then again, it´s your suggestion. So... yeah.
B. Use filters, and filter out things you don't like.
C. Subscribe to stay in touch with publishers about their up coming games.
One man trash is another man treasure. One game you don't like, doesn't apply to everyone else.
Fyi Epic game cherry picking their games, they're not doing anything better than other platforms that been trying to look like a top platform, as even overtime they will have more than enough games to change how things looks. Also even "AAA" publishers can makes bad games, where some indie game make better games than them, example yooka laylee a "AAA" game with huge budget, was beaten by indie devs that made a hat in time that has a much lower budget and was not a "AAA" game, go fig.
