Keep the last date a game was launched
I like to keep track on my games and would like to see the date of the last time I played a game, but after some time of not playing a game, it just display the date you bought it. Maybe keep both dates on the library.

Let's hope that is in the library update.

For me it only does that for games that are uninstalled and I haven't played since replacing my HDD, which was last year.

Does it happen with other games for you then?

It seems to be that after 6months to a tyear it just shows date purchase... I can't narrow it down beyond that sadly since I have no games that have been say 8 months since my last play.

Yes. I'm looking through my library and even games I haven't played since 2018 and are installed just display the date I bought it. I have to say that I reinstalled Windows some months ago.

That would be helpful. At the same time it would be sad to look at a game and realize you neglected it for 3+ years.

Lol, that wouldn't bother me, I've neglected games for decades.

Actually, Steam does that but in a complicated way. In Library, select "List View" which is second icon form the view tab. It's near the top-right of the screen. But with this it only shows last play date. (Why?) Not any of total time or bought time. I hope they adjust with big library update. And for me I need first play date too.

Didn't actually pay attention to it but yes, you are right, it shows the last time a game was played in that view but not when did you buy it or total play time. Hopefully we can see all three dates in the same view.

It does show some things, but I recall it being considerably more detailed, and really wish that ALL games used through steam would show the same basic information:

Bought, Installed, First Played, Time Played, Last Played

But it does only a selection of those, and ONLY for actual Steam games, and not even source mods. :/ Kinda hard to figure out how long I've put into specific HL2 mods when they don't keep track of that at all, and even if they run via HL2 or the episodes for the engine, that doesn't show enough to know 'this week' any more. (unless I'm missing the spot to click for that, but it sure doesn't look like it any more.)

+1 good idea.
I'm using METRO skin and it shows me the last played time for installed and uninstalled games in my library, I never use the main theme of Steam so I wouldn't know what it shows and doesn't show.

From the library update picture we've been shown it shows the last time we played a game, so let's hope it'll be added when they finally decide to release the update to us.

Crossing my fingers then, because I loathe change, and don't want to use a different skin lol.

I was looking through and I have to look on three different ways the library to see all the information I want:

*Precise time I have played a game: profile>games>game of your chose to see exact time, with minutes.
*Last time I played or launched a game: on your library select the list view, it will show the last time the games were launched.
*Bought: go to account details.

It is a pain in the ass but hopefully we can see all this information in the same view soon.

Like someone pionted out, you actually can see the last time you played a game from the library selecting the list view, but it won't show you the time you have played a game. So it would be better to the all this basic information in the same view.
