I tell Steam I don't want to see X and Y and less of Z
And what do I get? More of X, more Y and a whole lot of Z.
Similar thing with the tag Anime, though that probably has somewhat less accuracy.

I also detest visual novels and have that tag set as well yet occasionally Steam will recommend that to me too. I swear Steam must be laughing at me.

Y'know this is why Valve should allow boolean expressions in exclusions.
I've seen a lot of threads saying "I don't want to exclude all X products or all Y products but I want to exclude those products that have both X and Y tags". An example applicable here is X = Visual Novel and Y = Sexual Content, or X = Anime and Y = Sexual Content.
Right now you can only exclude all X and all Y so you have a store view that has no X and no Y at all.
If only you could tell the system to exclude "X AND Y", as in include "NOT {X AND Y}", this would work a lot better.
Ok let's put a manure in your room and ask you to just ignore it. Can you? well it depends on every individual if they can or not. The best way is to don't risk anything and remove the problem (manure) in the first place, to make the room a clean place. (Dark Example, I know.)
