Keep Windows from sleeping while downloading
I can't find if this has ever been implemented somehow, but at the best of my knowledge we have to manually set the OS on "no sleep" if we want to download something overnight.

This link describes how it could be done by using Windows built-in handles.

LOL... To your "knowledge", you do know that this has nothing to do with Steam? :steamfacepalm:

I know applications on OSX can do that. My old MacBook DVD software had a setting to prevent the computer from dimming the screen or going to sleep while a movie was activly playing. It's possible that a Windows application could supress Power Options.

As described in the post I linked to, any application can stop Windows from sleeping by setting the OS status to occupied by calling the appropriate API. It is something that can be implemented at the code level, also it is rather trivial to do.

Anyways I guess this functionality may have been already implemented as yesterday night Steam finished a large download without interruption. I was sure it wasn't so just a few months ago.
