Sharing of wishlist
Would be nice if the wishlist was sharable like via url or social media. This so that people who do not use steam could still use steam as a gift giving solution.

Or they could just give you a Steam wallet card...

You can just link to your wishlist as long as your profile is not private.

But it doesn't let someone directly buy you one of the games from your wishlist. They would still have to have a Steam account, buy the game as a gift, then send it too you.

What the OP wants is for the Steam wishlist to work like a public Amazon wishlist, where someone can view your list AND directly buy you something from it.

And to do that, they need an Amazon account, just like any other onlinestore.

I haven't bothered with it yet, but I'm pretty sure you need an account for amazon, too.

On Steam, just imagine the trouble of someone gifting you an item via wishlist completely anonymously and then issue a chargeback or some other fraud.

Thanks for the comments guys, wasn't aware the wishlist was available like that. Also I understand the issues that would arise if it were to act like an amazon style but would be awfully nice for gift giving :)

Agree. I have two steam account. I can't transfer the games or share them to another account's wishlist.
