WISHLIST for already Purchased Games
Within the Steam Store, etc., if a game is already owned by me, the "Wishlist" option is not available for me to track when it might be on sale or whatever. This is VERY unfortunate.

Though I might already own a game, I may want to track (aka Wishlist) it for when it is next on sale. Why? Because I want to either purchase it again for another account on Steam or as a gift for someone else.

Case in point is that there are several games I have and now that my son is into games and has a Steam Account of his own, I would like nothing more than to purchase them (on sale, lol) as a gift for him. Currently, this is not available on Steam IF you already own the game. Bummer. And LOST SALES to Steam too...

Bump, Like, Add Comment, or Whatever to this post to get Steam's ATTENTION so they will add the WISHLIST option to already owned games. It's a No-Brainer.

Overall I do agree, for now, however, I recommend using maybe the wishlist on isthereanydeal.com
Then you also know about deals elsewhere, and I am pretty sure you can add things you all ready have there

I buy games ALL the time for friends. usually when they are on sale. Steam could definitely use a Second Wishlist Gift Option.

Agreed. This is a good idea.

I would really love this option as well. Come on, Steam!

Multiple wishlists would be super cool, but just being able to add an owned game to the current wishlist would be sufficient for me. I want to get a notification when a game I own goes on sale so I can buy it for other people (my son, my friends, etc). Seems like a wasted opportunity for Steam. I wonder why it works this way.

Ya steam get it together! Here we are begging you take take our money by adding a feature that should of been implemented long ago... It's 2020 WTF get us a second wishlist for gifting friends games that we own & we want to buy for others when they go on sale!!!

I'd like this too, a gift wishlist. There are many games I'd like to gift friends, or simply to tell them when a game I'd like them to try happens to be on sale. But there currently is not an easy way to do this, or track sales for owned games.

I like this idea.

I'd also be cool if they fix the restriction on gift-buying bundles of games / DLCs.
If you yourself had already bought a bundle / that bundle had a game you own / etc, then it can't be re-bought again. (For gifting to people.)
It's a real shame, because bundles are amongst the greatest ways to to get things at a discount.

I concur.
I used to maintain a second account whose sole purpose was to wishlist games I already had. I would gift games I like to friends, and I was even active on SteamGifts for a little while.

But this became a moot point after Steam made it no longer possible to stock up gift copies of games in my inventory.

It’s a frequently requested feature and it’s understandable why. In the meantime, Black Blade’s suggestion is still a great workaround.
