Adding Windows Store games to steam
So I've done some digging around to find ways to add windows store games to Steam, and while the links may work, steam doesn't actively say that I'm playing that game for more than a few seconds. I think that a big feature to add to steam should be integrated support for apps off the Windows Store (if Valve doesn't want to for business reasons, I understand). Part of this is because I might be playing Forza on my PC, and then a bunch of my friends will come along, see I'm online, and then message me and call me to get me to play a game with them. I can't blame them for not knowing, since Steam doesn't have a good way of tracking those processes right now. Anyways, I hope you take this into consideration

You need to go and ask the devs/publishers of the games to bring them to Steam. Valve doesn't go around asking game companies to bring their games to Steam.

Bit more detail here.

store game will never be put on here but they could do a thing where you could make it say your playing a game but they woulden't know which game.

thing is, they don't need to be on steam, thats not what I'm asking. What I'm asking is an official support for adding these non-steam games as non-steam games in steam

Due to the way Windows 10 is designed, it is not possible for Steam to launch Windows 10 applications. Microsoft designed it so that a Win32 program can not launch a UWP program for security reasons as they feel a Win32 program is not secure.
I think Ubisoft is best as they give us the option to buy their games from either Uplay or Steam. Whereas Origin, Battlenet, Windows Store doesn't distribute their games on Steam just for the purpose of earning some extra money ( well which company doesn't do that ).

Uplay is the smallest so they have to offer that fascility.

Infact, Blizzard's BattleNet also has the smallest selection of games... even more less than Uplay but still they don't sell games on Steam?

This does exist already - "add non-steam game to library" and you can easily "play" any title that you can imagine. yeah there's an issue with security and those MS Store games - but it's a Microsoft issue :).

well their store apparently works great so they arent needed to sell on steam, have heard origin and uplay breaking sometimes and had bad experience with windows store myself, never again using that piece of..... well
