Get Rid of annoying STEAM TEXT Box during games !!!
Why did Steam go from allowing you to play a 2 games on your PC at the same time (such as Chess & an fps), but then start stuffing a big text box telling you on one PC that you are logged out, AND WHICH COVERS UP part of the bottom right of the screen?

What is the problem with making/having that go off with a keypress?

Otherwise we are never buying a game individually, but we are buying a conjoined-twin where they are not purchased individual items.

Steam did not used to be so mean some years ago.

There is the option to ensure both games are being played from the same I.P. address.

Why introduce more and more annoying features?

If you want to get rid of those text boxes in general, then turn off Steam Overlay for that game.

Right now Steam has no options for disabling only some notifications.

As for your first paragraph, though:

Are you playing two games on one computer or two games on two computers? Because the first part of what you said has to do with playing two games on one computer, and the second part has to do with playing two games on two computers.

Steam never allowed for you to play two games at once.
You could do it if you login the account on one PC as Offline mode. But then it shouldn't be telling you stuff about the Offline account.

Pretty sure you can play two games at once on one computer.

On two computers though...I doubt it.

I doubt you can do that with Steam. People tried to do this with TF2 and it was only possible if you used an exe to idle with. So normally it isn't a feature.

There are games on Steam that can be run without having Steam on. But this guy is talking about being logged out from the other computer.

Zefar, I was just running two games at one time on a single PC, through Steam.

The confusion is that the OP stated it as being on one computer first, then as two computers latter on.

Running two games on two diffrent computers, while logged into Steam, is not possible.

I think the OP needs to clarify what s/he is trying to do that causes the issue.

2 games on the same PC, And/Or on 2 different computers, or Three.

As I bought them, I should be able to boot them up when I like, without INTERFERENCE.

What happes when its a laptop & a gaming Pc is that one puts up a large text box blocking part of the screen telling me my account is logged out on that PC, and it Interferes with my game (wether is is chess or Minecraft Text along the base of the screen or whatever...

I know for a fact it didnt use to be like that because a family member has been using Steam for over 11 years, and always used to run two games t the same time also on their account.

You can play 2 games at once (or more [depending on the number of PC`s you have], we have around 7 in the house). But recently games (such as ARMA 3 & others) are cutting that possibility off.

Its a slow death for gaming as they tighten the noose around gamers necks with each passing year.

For over 11 years a family member has been playing two game on two PC`s on his account at the same time. Its just that in the past two years, the message box has been implemented to spoil it, and I hate it also on my account when I run two of my games on two PC`s that I have.
