[Solved] Please to allow filtering out of games with sexual content or nudity from store listings
If its already possible and all I have to do is check a box that says, "Don't show explicit content in store unless specifically searched for", then great, please tell me where it is.

Aside from that, please add an option. I don't care for these piece of♥♥♥♥♥♥ no talent, no gameplay, lowest common denominator, make a quick buck on the corner ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t.

Choose your own adventure with a bunch of nudy pictures of cartoon girls is not a video game, its a shameless money grab by no talent clowns. UE4 and Unity have been around for a while, make a real video game.

There is no explicit content on the steam store.
Also the VN genre has been one of the most longstanding video game genres in existence. Predates the FPS even. They gjust never came to the west for the same reasons most JRPGG's never came to the west...♥♥♥♥ assumes Yanks hated reading alot.

Okay, not explicit, but definitely sexually suggestive, I'm asking for a filter, not a removal.

The horse predates all mechanical forms of locomotion, and rightly I expect to not see one on sale in a car dealership.

Predates the FPS...could it be perhaps that the computational resources required to draw an image over and over again while displaying some different text is far less than it takes to render a 3D world (2.5d if you're gonna get pendantic about wolfenstein and doom)?

I understand that these "games" make money, otherwise they wouldn't be made. I'm just asking to be able to filter them out from my store listing. Its not hard, there are already tags, just add a nice little line of SQL that filters out by a specific tag when generating the list of games to suggest.

When the thread starts out with a lie in the title, it's not going anywhere.

What is the lie?

there are not actual "porn games" on steam.. some overly fanservice heavy titles sure, but not porn by definition

See, thing is...porn is easy to get. We don't need Steam for it.

I know, which is why I don't get why this is on there at all. Why is anyone buying games like Huniepop?

My prejudices aside, I just want to filter it out. That's all I'm asking, because I guarantee you I will never buy any of those "games". Don't waste bandwidth on me Valve, send it to the people that want it.

Because ♥♥♥♥ those birds, am I right.

My chief and primary problem with a game like Huniepop is that it is specifically successful because of its sexually suggestive nature.

Take any game like that and remove the scantily clad anime girls and who cares? Everyone would call it a match 3 that should be free.

This is the gameplay : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFzRgiP6z5M

It is presently $10 on steam : http://store.steampowered.com/app/339800/HuniePop/

Momodora (which I have never played btw) is also $10 : http://store.steampowered.com/app/428550/Momodora_Reverie_Under_the_Moonlight/

Just seeing the trailers shows how different these two are. Momodora has actual gameplay, and an attempt at actual plot. I mean, cmon, the description of HuniePop ends with "...an abrasive western writing style and plenty of "plot". "

So filter them out. Steam already offers the possibility to filter adult content via your preferences.

cinedine, thank you very much, the only answer I needed and the very first question I asked, "If its already possible and all I have to do is check a box that says, "Don't show explicit content in store unless specifically searched for", then great, please tell me where it is."

You are my hero today.

I would never play one of them, but i actually love seeing these games on Steam, because it means the amount of Asian gamers is growing, and more gamers is always good.
Also theyre mostly funny as hell to check the vids/screens of.
