HELLP
Windows manages a possibly huge file that stores spill-over data when you've used up all your computer's actual RAM. The program is just telling you to increase the size.
On windows find the My Computer icon (on Windows7, its stupidly named to just "Computer"). You want to right-click it and pick properties from the pop-up menu. Find the Advanced systems ettings then dig through to the performance settings. Use either the Recommended size shown on the screen or some multiple of 1024 MB. Use that same number for the initial and the maximum size textboxes and click the "Set" button. By the way, you would want to enter a number larger than what it currently says or this won't help solve that problem with RAVAGED at all.
I have omitted some steps in how to get to the screen but you should be able to figure it out. Its basically the same for all Window's versions. Post again if you need help/clarification.
Why don't you put some more ram in your pc? 4 or 8gb ram is CHEAP as hell these days.
If his system only has 2 Gb of ram it is probebly an older system DDR3 is cheap. DDR2 or DDR is expensive.
but then again if he has an old comp he shouldn't be running ravaged , since it does require a semi good pc to run.
Maby someone should ask for his system specs.
My point is, newer hardware should be pretty darn good for running just about anything. Any apparent issue (beyond ram and video card) is probably related to Windows optimizations or lack thereof.
I have no idea if I can run RAVAGED well, but I could probably play decently. I'm fairly certain this won't do for a game like Crysis regardless of what the store page says.
Vendor: GenuineIntel
Speed: 3000 Mhz
Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit)
Driver: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Primary Display Resolution: 1920 x 1080
VRAM: 512 MB
RAM: 2045 Mb
Lol
Weak-ass old cpu
Windows vista? Really? Upgrade to 7
Gpu is decent enough
2Gb ram is not enough for modern games
There is no way that you can run ravaged smoothly at 1920 x 1080 with these specs.
Either upgrade/build a new comp or play games that your system can actually handle.
I see posts like this every day people with problems just because there hardware is not good enough for said game and blame eiter VALVe, STEAM, or the game devs for their problems.
I'm not aware of any MBs that do not support atleast 4GB of ram (3.25Usable if he has a 4GB boundary set by his Chipset)
But if he is running out of swap, he HAS to fix the physical memory issues FIRST. the more swapping he does to his HDD the faster that HDD is going to die on him (Over swapping damages the Heads on Spindle HDDs over extended use)
Ideally, you NEVER want to swap.
Vista has a bad rep from it's launch days. After all the patches, it is realy close to being as good as 7. There would be no need to upgrade the OS.
The OP still needs to list HIS specs. You can't use someone elses specs to trouble shoot a problems.
That's like me going to the doctore because my wife is feeling sick.
