GTA IV World not loading correctly

I have downloaded GTAIV twice now and it doesn't work. Whenever I start it most objects in the game are invisible like: buildings, walls, roads, and large portions of the map. Anyone now a way to fix this?

If the radar (HUD also) as well as the character is invisible its an issue with graphics driver, or mods you have installed, Open up graphics, and change Shadows to reset the graphic issue, apply, and reset it back to what it was orginally, and everything should show up. (Similiar to the below image of mine)

You can also try updating your graphics drivers or uninstalling any mods you have installed
For me, it was a combination of incompatiable mods causing graphical issues
