Report a translation problem
You may have also accidently hit the mute key on some of the fancier keyboards... or nudged the volume control from within Windows. There is also a volume setting for each "Application" under WinVisa/7 in the same volume control screen.
If your audio driver crashed, then reboot and see if you have any sound at all.

This is the same fix if your mic. isn't working on steam voice chat, so maybe this fix will also work.
This can be done by right clicking your speaker icon then select playback device. Check which one is the one you're currently using and right click that one and select make default.
