i was having trouble myself just now since TF2 wouldn't connect, and i couldn't install Magicka for the free weekend, but seems to be working now, so hopefully it's fixed

It is but a matter of principle, I have paid for something and ask that I can use it at any time 24/7. When we are already forcing a useless forced registration, please also so that we can use it around the clock.

That kind of thing is quite shortsighted..my friend, If you had to provide this grade A service you expect, to millions of people, you'd soon realise that your technology will need maintennance. How are you going to achieve this without implementing the time for your staff (which you are going to have to employ and manage) to carry out the maintenance. The quietest time I have seen is around 08:00 Greenwich Mean Time, there is very little activity then and this would be the best time for you to carry out your maintenance. Until other tech can improve this FACT we HAVE to accept the downtime which is UNAVOIDABLE, it's a matter of principle...

This downtime seems to be totally at random now??? I've just been cut off 5 times which has disrupted my downloads, conversations and tested my patience quite a lot. I appreciate you have to have downtime, VALVe, but please stick to the alloted times with prior notice please.
