Problem Downloading Deus Ex: Human Revolution
So whenever I try to download Deus Ex: Human Revolution I get the message that steam's servers are busy and I can't download the game. It tells me to wait a few minutes and try again. I have done this around 20 times in the past 7 hours. Every time it stops half way through and tells me the same thing. I tried downloading other games and had no trouble with the steam servers being busy. Has anyone else had this problem or is it something on my end? If you need more info ask and you shall receive.

Ive been having this problem for the last day myself. I've even tried deleteing everything in my steam folder (except the steamapps and .exe) to have it re-up steam. still didnt work. kinda pissed. the dlc installs fine, the game doesn't and no one seems to have an answer

Have you tried changing your download region in the Steam Settings?
smash 29 września 2012 o 23:04
Yeah, try changing the download region in Settings.

There's some more things you can try if that doesn't work - suggestion list here.

I dont know about Narsil, but I have tried changing my region (and everything else on the steam help page). The thing that gets me is this is the only game for me, Ive installed 3 others during the process but HR refuses to install.

Been having exactly the same problem - Bought a new SSD and was re-installing my games from Steam backups. Deus Ex HR is the only one which won't install, or even download fresh.

Tried everything on the help page. Nothing happened, the steam servers are still "busy." It also bugs me that it is the only game that doesn't install for me. I really wanted to play it but I can't.

I have the exact same problem. Posted a thread about it yesterday, but got no replies. Tried all the solutions including the "remove everything except steamapps and steam.exe" one. None of them helped. Still waiting for a response to my ticket I submitted about it.

At least I know it's not just me now.

Try deleting a few files in the DeusEx folder (like the main exe) Also try running steam as an admin

If it's a lot of people, it could be some sort of misconfiguration on Valve's side.

Unfortunately, the "busy" message is inaccurate and unhelpful, as it seems to appear whenever a download doesn't work, no matter what the cause.

I can seem (at least start) to download Human Revolution here in London, so it's not a totally systemic problem, whatever it is.

Also having the same problem, and as everyone here tried everything that has been mentioned..... no glory :(

I wish I had some insight for you guys, but all I have is more bad news.

I have a physical copy of the game and tried to install using the DVD, and it gave the same "busy server" error and failed to install. I reinstalled steam (ugh downloading all my games again) and that didn't work either. I also have missing link, and that installs just fine.

THIS IS SILLY.

Sorry to here it guys but I think that league against cybernetic implants destroyed this game :D or maybe Valve destroyed in while converting to new content system.

At least I know it isn't just me. Changing the download region doesn't seem to help, and I've been trying to download this for two days now. Going to submit a support ticket, with reference to the terms of the Steam Subscriber Agreement, if this isn't resolved soon.
