Also, if you're checking your temps in BIOS then you're doing it wrong. You have to check your temps WHILE you're gaming, not while the computer is booted into BIOS.
Does this mean that the Thermaltake fan isn't in operation at all?
If that's so, I'd stop using your computer immediately as having a fan pointed at it is NOT likely to do the job very well. You're at risk of destroying your CPU.
From this, it's highly likely it IS a shutdown due to overheating. I'd seriously recommend you contact Thermaltake and get the help you need THEN try again.
If my liquid cooling wasnt working, it would have destroyed my cpu already.
Ah, that's a relief. I rather got the impression that when you said the driver wasn't working, you meant that resulted in the whole FAN not operating.
I'd certainly echo Shodan's suggestion as the next step, so if you try the Rome 2 fixes and you still get it, then I'd recheck what you did with the PSU.
On another note, I had a similar issue with World of Warcraft about 18 months ago - it would immediately turn my laptop off after random amounts of play time. No other game caused this problem, and even though I checked absolutely everything I could think of with this laptop, nothing seemed to be at fault.
After I went through Blizzard's dreadful support (or lack of), a couple of months later I eventually managed to get hold of someone at least a little knowledgeable who ended up blankly claiming that WOW "could never cause this issue". This was despite other users also professing the same thing. I asked to escalate the issue further and after a couple of further months, they just closed the tickets, so likewise I closed my account.
As it turns out, this laptop has never suffered this problem since and I use it every day for hours on end. Sometimes, computers can indeed suffer some bloody strange problems.
In any case, if you don't get it sorted, do get back to us.
Oh and the last time is shut down on me, I wasnt in the game at all, just on the web which was a first. This stuff is a pain in the butt lol
Can I ask where you live? If you're in the UK, then that 30-day thing is irrelevant (unless it's not new). I can't say for the US sadly.
But any, I repeat do get back if you need any more help.
I'm fairly sure by now after 3 months, this issue has been sorted.
Please don't necro threads unnecessarily.
