Booster packs
I'm not entirely sure how you attain a booster pack. I've been playing for quite some time and have never seen one added to my inventory. Is there something specific i have to do to get one?

To be eligible for a booster pack, collect ALL the card drops for the game and to log into steam at least ONCE a week … You don't need to continue playing the game.

Booster drops are random.

That's wierd. I play every day and got no booster pack.

I have a bit of badges yet I never got a single booster pack. (And I log in everyday!)

You can't have any card drops left. Ge tthem all, then play the waiting game.

Also, when you reach a higher level the chance for getting a booster pack rises. I believe it's every tenth level (10, 20, 30 and so on).

I recently started crafting badges, I crafted a badge that got me to level 11 (fourth badge crafted) and just 3 hours after doing that I received my first booster in the form of a Skyrim booster pack. I had crafted the Skyrim badge hours earlier. I expect that it'll be a long time before I see my next booster drop.

But what is the chance to get a pack for level under 10?

I never saw one before 10, after 10 I've had quite a few though.

Don't think the chance is open information.

Rare. My current estimate would be a level 9 or less could expect a booster for about 2-3% of their eligible games each month, but that is only a very rough figure based on very limited data. And of course it varies a lot from game to game - presumably games that have only just had cards added generate lots of boosters in the first few days as the first wave of people trade for cards and craft their badges, whereas the amount of cards being traded/sold and thus new badges crafted for games that have had card for a couple of months now are probably very small, and thus the amount of boosters for those games are presumably much rarer.

Coincidence. Crafting badges doesn't make you any more likely to get a booster, except very indirectly at the end of the hour that you crafted the badge, as you crafting a badge increases the number of boosters generated and handed out that hour by Steam (by 2-5 depending on how many cards in a set), and presumably you would be able to win one of those boosters you have caused to be generated.

Or if crafting a badge gives you enough XP to raise your level to the next drop bonus (10, 20, 30, etc.)

I'm level 11. Got all the drops from 5-6 games, haven't seen a booster drop. Frustrating.

I got a Saints Row 3 booster pack at level 14. No more, never.

I hear if you sell your cards your chances of getting boosters reduces dramatically.

The chance for a booster is very low. I already had a few card games when Steam made them public; when I get a game that has cards I'll obtain the guaranteed ones right away even if I don't play the game, or intend to play (I have Steam installed on my workplace, so I just run the game in the background there).

By now, I have 13 eligible games (and 2 mystery games -- my badges page tells me I have two games with drops remaining, and a total of 18 drops remaining, but all games actually listed have all their drops...). I have not received a booster pack "yet".
