Trying to buy game outsid of my home country?

Hello, I am trying to buy DLC quest with USD (I'm american) that is leftover in my steam wallet while I am in Thailand. The store says it's converted to Thailand but everything is still in US pricetags and it will not let me purchase the game. How do I buy off of steam using currency that is not from the country I am at right now.

So, yes. American here trying to buy steam games in Thailand.

When you are abroad, you need to ask Steam Support to unlock purchase on your home Steam Store (in your case the US Steam Store) from abroad. Then you'll just need to go to http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=US and you'll be able to purchase items as if you were in the United States.

You can contact Steam Support by creating a new support ticket: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php. If you have never contacted Steam Support in the past then you'll need to create an account on the support website.

When you are abroad, you need to ask Steam Support to unlock purchase on your home Steam Store (in your case the US Steam Store) from abroad. Then you'll just need to go to http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=US and you'll be able to purchase items as if you were in the United States.

You can contact Steam Support by creating a new support ticket: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php. If you have never contacted Steam Support in the past then you'll need to create an account on the support website.

In my case i moved from Korea to China and i use '/?cc=kr'. But when i try to purchase a game, i get an error message 'an unexpected error has occured' at 'review + purchase' part. I already posted a support ticket. Can you unlock me purchasing?

Are you doing this on the steam client? It would probably work if you used the store on a browser like internet explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.

i know how to fix this problem First you have to download Hotspot Shield Second you just switch your virtual location to (where ever u were coming from) just click connect and go back to steam and start downloading (?cc=US)
