Can't Find "Common" folder in Steamapps
I had to have my laptop wiped out and reloaded. I've re-installed Mount and Blade for my son and he wants to add Mods, but cannot find the "common" folder. It used to be there. Any ideas?? BTW, I'm not sure if I'm typing the correct terminology, so you may need to help me out here.

What version of Windows do you have? Does the game work?

Do you see other folders/files in the Steamapps folder?

Can you right click and choose new folder and call it common?

Can you confirm the full location you are looking in as well.

Try verifying the game cache as well,
Load Steam From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Try repairing Steam, Go to control Panel and the add/remove programs or programs and features and right click on Steam and choose Repair

Try showing hidden files and folders to see of you can see it after,

Does the game launch?
It should be the first folder within Steamapps.

Go to the game in your library, within the Steam client. If you right click the game, then click properties at the bottom of the list. Then go to the local files tab, and click 'show local files'

Do you see other folders/files in the Steamapps folder? The only folder is "sourcemods" after you click on Steamapps and then when clicking on that, it states empty.

Can you right click and choose new folder and call it common? We did this, what would be the next step.

Can you confirm the full location you are looking in as well. C:\programfiles(x86)\steam\steamapps

Try repairing Steam, Go to control Panel and the add/remove programs or programs and features and right click on Steam and choose Repair - when I did this, a message pops up that says "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable".

I answered some of your questions above. Also, we downloaded this game on the gamestop app and copied it onto Steam. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Also, under the game library on Steam, the status says shortcut.

I found this in an old thread ...hope it helps...

"I found one man! Just go to settings>downloads and where it reads "Manage content locations in multiple drives", click on the box there and find the exact folder where your games are stored. For me it was D:\SteamLibrary. Hope this helps! "
All you have to do is go to the Name of the game in the programs folder then click on data like for me i have Enforcer police crime action. What i do is click on that folder then open enforcer data and wa-la i hope i helped
