How to block the Steam client from accessing internet?
My son is an avid Steam player, which is great! But sometimes, when working hard on boring homework assignments, he needs a little help to refrain from playing instead of studying. So I wonder if there is some way to block the Steam client to access his account? Are there certain IP-addresses that I can temporarily block, and/or do I have to block certain ports in the router? The main goal is to give him access to Internet but to keep him from playing for a while…

Required Steam ports.

You can block them through the router. Some even allow you to set the times that they can be accessed.

Remember, he could always put it in off-line mode and still play single player.
