Basically, deleted the Userdata folder on the Steam folder. I think one of the files in there was corrupted and couldnt be edited, steam remade it when i executed it. All the configs were back to the default but they could be edited, and some old non-steam game shortcuts on my library that i had deleted long ago reappeared.
I guess it copied the list from an old config saved on the cloud. Gonna leave this here so that anyone with the same problem can try it, make a copy of the Userdata folder before deleting it just in case it doesnt work.
This thread was last posted in almost a year ago, so some things may have changed since then anyway, with the Steam client.
Thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention that I've fixed the overheat problem. But this issue still happens from time to time, don't know why.
I don't mean to push this, as you now replied that the overheating is fixed. So what is going on about these "crashes", if that is still relevant, that is ?
Do you have any PC issues at all that have not been mentioned yet, that might be details that are relevant ?
Sorry for the vagueness.
Although the crash/ overheating problem is now Fixed, it still resets my settings for no reason, randomly, usually after I startup my PC. My PC now don't have any issue, and it has not reset my settings for a while. But I'm not sure if this would happen again as... it completely random.
I will post on this discussion if I encounter this problem in the future, thanks.
